What Information Should the Consumer Have When Meeting with a Chapter 7 Attorney?
The Consumer should bring the following items to the meeting with his or her attorney:
- The most recent year’s tax return;
- The past six months of pay stubs or other form of pay advices;
- All of the consumer’s billing statements from creditors and bill collectors;
- Home mortgage statements;
- A valid drivers license or other governmental identification card;
- Any documents stemming from a pending law suit; and
- Any documents resulting from past tax debts.
