“I have referred two acquaintances of mine”

I wanted to take a moment and thank you for the smooth handling of my bankruptcy.

For someone who has never had any legal dealings as such it is a very intimidating process.  It is a painful thing to consider bankruptcy and wonder how you will be judged someday down the line.  Many people, like myself, went through unexpected hard times over the last few years.  Losing your primary source of income after 10, 20, 30 years of service to a company and finding yourself in a market that is not hiring or just selective hiring at best can leave you frantic.  As I look back now I see how foolish I was in wasting my savings just to stay afloat with creditors, that in the end were not willing to negotiate a payment plan or understand that the reasons for late or non-payments were out of your control.  I'm sure many people made the same mistake as I in trying to satisfy their greed just to avoid the inevitable.

I apologize for the delay in this letter to you, but unfortunately, other matters in my life had to take priority and I wanted to give your letter my full attention.  I must first comment that I found my first meeting with you and all other interactions with your office very pleasant.  I'm sure you agree that this is the most important factor in getting the ball rolling.

Your book was the icing on the cake, as in reading it, the “average Joe” can understand what the process is and what is expected of them.  It also gives a reassurance that you are not alone in this situation along with the other options to explore.  I recommend anyone in a financial situation to read your book for a complete understanding.  I have shared your book with several contacts of mine and have only received positive feedback.

I have referred two acquaintances of mine, M. Tomaszkiewicz (whom I believe at this time is already in the process with your office) and R. Tuckey, and hope they will receive the same satisfaction I experienced.
